Why do they put windows behind sinks?

Our new used townhouse has a window behind the sink. I know this is very common, but I don’t understand why it’s done. Presumably the sink is usually used for washing dishes and filling containers. You’re not going to do a lot of window gazing while doing those things. Especially not with a view of a parking lot. You kind of have to look at dishes to wash them. If those cupboards were there, we’d have 27% more cuoboard space! washing dishes.jpg

Yeah, that’s how my wife looks when she’s washing her lunch plate.

Amazing What Light Can Do

Another look at the whole negative being the score and the print being the performance. I shot this rather bad picture on auto out a window. Yuck. I did so for a reason, I knew it’d be bad.

Then I wanted to see just how much you could fix it up in Lightroom. Although I did go overboard it was still fun.
